1. Niobium Stabilization:

   • Prevents carbide precipitation, protecting against intergranular corrosion even after welding or prolonged heat exposure.

2. High-Temperature Performance:

   • Superior creep resistance and strength compared to non-stabilized grades like 304 or 316.
   • Excellent oxidation resistance in temperatures up to 870°C (1600°F) in continuous service and up to 815°C (1500°F) in intermittent service.
